ABOUT US
Our staff includes Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) accredited professionals, and we have worked on notable LEED® certified projects around the country, such as the Delta Terminal A at Logan International Airport in Boston, Massachusetts (the first LEED-Certified airport terminal in the United States) and Denver Union Station in Denver, Colorado.
Each of our projects has an environmental plan in place, which is adhered to by all staff and craft on the project. Monitoring is maintained by all staff on site and includes visits from our Corporate Environmental Representative.
MEC is dedicated to maintaining the highest environmental compliance standards and taking green to the next level through LEED® Certified Engineers and innovative construction means, methods, material and equipment. Our equipment fleet is upgraded and modernized to meet or exceed emission standards, including our fleet in California, which has the highest standards in the U.S. On a project in Houston, Texas, Ford Fusion Hybrid vehicles are being used by staff instead of the traditional pickups, saving fuel and the environment. We work with our suppliers to reduce packing materials, purchase products that use recycled content and buy in bulk.
